Documents required for identity verification

This is the identification document required when selling your items.

1. Driver's license

2. Driving record certificate

3. Passport

*If there is a difference in the address on your identification document, or if your passport was issued after February 4, 2020, you will need the following items.

You will need to bring proof of your current address in your name, along with a utility bill receipt or invoice (electricity, water, gas, landline, even if unpaid) dated within the last three months or a certificate of residence, so please bring the above eight pieces of identification along with any unchanged address.

5. Health insurance card

*If you wish to use your health insurance card as identification for a transaction amount over 2 million yen, you will also need a utility bill receipt (invoice) issued within three months of the date of issue or a certificate of residence.

*Due to the revision of the Consumption Tax Act as of October 1, 2021, residence cards can no longer be used as identification documents.

*Expired identification documents cannot be accepted.

*In order to protect privacy, we will not collect insured person symbols or numbers.
